The Center offers a variety of services and support for transgender people and individuals who have questions about gender identity issues or gender transition, including group and individual counseling, facilitated support and discussion groups and social activities.

Transgender Support Groups

The Center’s LGBT Community Counseling Program provides weekly support groups in a safe, culturally affirming environment for transgender adults and youth with professional facilitators trained in sexual identity and gender issues. Call 916-442-0185, Ext. 102, for information.

Counseling Services

Our Counseling Program offers individual or group counseling services for transgender people under the supervision of  licensed psychotherapists trained in sexual and gender identity issues. All counseling services are provided on a for-fee, sliding-scale basis. Call 916-442-0185, Ext. 102.

Sacramento Gender Alliance

The Sacramento Gender Alliance is a non-sexual gathering serving the recreational and educational needs of the transgender community, their spouses, significant others, family members and related professionals. The group welcomes everyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, as long as they are transgender-friendly. The organization, which has served the Sacramento region for more than 20 years under different names, became an official program of the Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center in November 2007.
