The Center is one of several Sacrament-area providers of HIV services that benefit from the annual Sacramento Valley AIDS Run/Walk, a 5K pledge fundraising event held annually on the second Sunday in September at the California State Capitol. | Established in 1986, the Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center serves the lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual community of Greater Sacramento and surrounding counties, providing facilitated discussion groups for LGBT youth and adults, counseling, legal services, HIV prevention and education services and programs for LGBT seniors, families and people living with HIV/AIDS.
