Established in 1992, the annual Lambda Awards celebration is the Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center’s signature event, designed to honor individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community as well as highlight the work of the Center. The name Lambda Awards pays homage to the original name of the Center and to the outstanding achievements of its founders and pioneering supporters.
